Surreal photo Idea
My surreal photo montage is going to represent world peace. I am going to create this by phtographing a phtot of myself and i will be realsing white doves out of my hands. I will also be sitting or standing on pink clouds while i do this. A picture of the world will be below me and the doves will be flying towards it. Somewhere there will be a peace sign represent eaither in a cloud or somewhere else in the photogrpah. The colors will be vibrant but yet peaceful and smooth. There will aslo be text of a quote or a poem that has to do with the world peace subject somewhere in my picture.

surreal arstist insperations
Rene Magritte was born November 21, 1898 – 15 August 1967. Rene was a Belgian surrealist artist and was know specifically for his thought provoking paintings. Magritte was born in Lessines in the province of Hainaut. He began lessons in drawing in 1910. Magritte’s passion for art came to him at a very young age, he began with drawing and then moved on to different types of painting styles until he found that the style of surrealism suited his artistic abilities the best. Rene is now a historic surrealist artist and is many other artists’ inspiration. As an artist myself I find that Rene’s work is very inspiring and his creativity jumps of the canvas with every painting that he creates.
Artist’s work: Rene’s work is very creative and thought provoking when you are viewing. Each work of his varies in difference and represents a different subject matter each time. In this particular painting his color choice is exceptional. The use of bright varieties of color gives the painting depth and catches the eye. The subject matter that he represents gives the peace and abstract yet dream like feel to it which can really ponder your thinking when viewing it. I really love this piece because of its originality and total bizarreness. This is an amazing piece of artwork and really requires thinking outside of the box.
ARTIST NAME: Rene Magritte
TITLE OF ARTWORK: Magic
DESCRIPTION: In this piece of artwork you can see that it has two human forms. You can also see that it is taking place in three different areas, you can see the tile floor, an almost dessert background and a bright blue sky with white clouds. You can also see random objects that the artist chooses to represent. You can see the pieces of wood floating in the sky along with a floating box, a bleeding clock, white broken Manichean legs as well as shoes that represent feet. There are also 3 black birds flying in the background and the man that is close up and represented has an apple covering his face.
INTERPRETATION: I feel that all the random things that this artist is representing are symbolic. I think that the apple covering the man’s face is representing an emotion that the artist feels most of his life since the apple over a man’s face is used a multiple number of times in Rene’s other paintings. I also think that it has something to do with death. It leads me to think this because the bleeding clock could mean that he is running out of time and the black birds are usually symbolic for a death. The background also leads me to this conclusion because it almost looks like the dessert was his last destination before he heads into the bright clouds that await him.
JUDGEMENT: This piece of artwork is extremely successful in my opinion. I fell that this artist is very to his work and has the ability to be creative and think outside of the normal. I enjoyed interpreting this piece because it was something that you had to think about before you got any answers on what you think it might mean.
Maurice Tabard was a dominant figure in avant-garde and modernist photography. His photo-montages, double exposures and solarized prints from the late 1920s and 1930s established him as a visionary artist. He was born in Born Lyon< France and had started his photography interest and career there. Throughout the years of his life his career of photography took him many different destinations which helped him create even better, more interesting works of photography. Maurice is considered a very skilled photographer each of his pieces require thinking and massive creativity.
ARTIST NAME: Maurice Tabard
TITLE: Untitled.
DESCRIPTION: In this photograph you can see human’s legs that transforms into a dead tree. You can also see a faint tower in the background being hidden by the cloudy gray sky. You can also see a brick wall and a totally different path way that the legs are walking on. This photograph is in different variations of grays and black which works well with the rest of the piece.
INTERPITATION: I feel this piece is eerie looking because of the color scheme and the objects that are represented. I cannot completely determine the overall meaning of this piece but I can conclude that it means something with moving forward because of the moving legs walking ahead. It is clear that the photographer wants your mind to wonder and come up with as many different and creative meanings as you can conclude.
JUDGEMENT: I feel that this piece is very successful. Overall the color scheme works well with the subject matter and ties together the different emotions you feel when viewing it. The subject matter and transformations in the piece add to its originality and its sophistication. I really enjoy looking at this piece because it lets the mind wonder and feel certain emotions.

I chose to take photogrpahs of my Grandpa for this piece. I thought that he would be an intreasting subject to represent in my work. My Grandfather(poppop) is one of my favorite people, he is a very silly person and I took all of his expressions and placed them together to represent who he is as a person and to show my love for him. I am very happy with this piece and think it is sucessful.
