Letters

I chose the word love. Love is my faovrite word because I think that the world could defenitly use a lot more love and understanding towards eachother. I also chose the word love because I am a hopless Romantic<3 I wanted to take more artsy pictures that really caught peoples attention. The letter L is a photo of me laying on the ground outside. I chose to wear nothing on my feet because I thought it gave the picture a more dramatic effect. The O is a peace sign wreath made  out of twigs ..this wreath is hanging in my room and I thought it would be perfect for the type of photo scheme Iwas going for. The V is a tree from downtown  town by my house, I thought it made a perfect, delicate V shape which is also what I was looking for. The E is a photo of my three very loved cats, Pumpkin, Cupcake, and Buddy. When it was time for them to eat I noticed that their tails made the perfect E shape which I also thought was creative and original. The last image is a heart shape made out of my hands. I chose to let my braclets and rings show to express a little bit of who I am as far as my style. Also my braclets are always my signiture and everyone always knows me as the girl with all the braclets. I am hoping to put this piece in my art concentration room. This piece would work perfectly because my concentration is world peace and the word love goes hand and hand with that, especailly the peace sign used as the O. I am very happy with my outcome and am really excitted to put this piece togetehr.

Black and White photogrpahy views!

Black and white photography

I believe that black and white photography is a very important way of shooting photo’s in the world of photography.  I can understand the controversy between shooting color photos vs. black and white photos, they are both very different styles. Someone may say that color captures the photo better but others may say that color takes away from the photo and makes it easier to focus on the entire thing rather than just one part of the photo because the whole picture is of even balance. I myself enjoy both types of photography however I tend to favor black and white photography over color. Black and white photography gives you the opportunity to make a bold statement, it limits out the color which gives you less distractions so that you can bring focus to the subject that you are trying to get viewers to focus on.  Another aspect that I enjoy about black and white photography is the quality that black and white gives to the overall image. Black and white photo’s look professional and look great in almost any lighting with many different subject matter, it also gives  the advantage to make the photo look old fashioned which personally is my favorite.
Years ago, black and white photography was the only type of photography that existed; there were no such things as photographs with color. Therefore I believe that we should always incorporate black and white photo’s into the today’s world because that’s truly were photography originated. Black and white photography is a great advantage that photographers have to make artistic and original photos that look professional.  I view black and white photography as a fantastic work of art.

Food Photo's

I never really thought photographing food would be as intreasting as I found it out to be.  I really enjoyed this assignment because it gave me the chance to photogrpah something that I normally wouldn't. Phtographing food gave me the oppurtunity to explore differnt angels, lighting, and display techniques in order to have a sucessful picture.  Im really happy with my photogrpahs and really enjoyed taking something as simple as food and displaying it in such a professional way. I would most defenitly  photogrpah food again on my own time because I find it so creative and intreasting.

Diptichs:)

In my first diptich my model is pretending to be kind of nerdy as you can see by his glasses and facial expression. He is holding up a leather jacket thinking about changing his look to a cool,"bad boy" look instead of being the nerdy kid. In the seconed photo he totally changed his look and now he is the cool kid in the leather jacket with messy hair and hipster sun glasses. I am really happy that my idea came out to exactly what I imagined it to be.

My seconed diptich is showing a nerdy kid  that likes a popular girl but she is paying apsolutley no attention to him because of his status as a nerd. In the seconed photo things become reversed. The girl that woulden't give the nerdy kid a chance before is trying her hardest to impress him and get him to notice her after he completley changed his look. Now he won't give her the time of day because he totally lost intereast. I am also happy with this set of pictures because it potrays the exact concept that I was going for.

Thank you Matt and lisa:)

In my third diptich I wanted a simple but appealing concept. In the first photo the model is holding the bubble container getting ready to blow some bubbles. In the seconed photo the model is actually blowing the bubbles. I really like how this set of photo's came out as well because it is simplistic but it leaves room for the viewer to think and interprate whatever they want.

Thank you to my model Shubhani;)

RUBIX CUBE

In my sereies I used Al as my only model because I feel that he has a very intreasting look that adds to my photo's.  As a prop I chose to use my childhood Rubix Cube because I imagined that it would have an intreasting out come. In a way my series tells a story. If you can see in the first picture how the model is looking at the rubix cube almost to figure out how to solve it then as the other photo's progress you can see his frustration growing  as he realizes it is not as easy as it seems.

series

 Marko Brozic

Marco brozic is a model and original photographer. He started out his photography career by taking pictures on his of himself on his mobile phone and then uploading them to certain websites that call for models. He then decided that he wanted to do something unique so instead of just taking sinlge, simple posed pictures he decided to take more perfessional photos of him self and created them into series. He took photos of himself doing his favorite things and enjoying his favorite past times.

I really enjoyed his sereis because I find it unique how he used himself in his series in order to depict something that he enjoys. His series photographs are almost telling short stories. I find it unique that he chose himself for the subject matter instead of just an object.

I am not sure exactly what I am going to photograph but i want it to be something unique and intreasting.

Surreal photo Idea

My surreal photo montage is going to represent world peace. I am going to create this by phtographing a phtot of myself and i will be realsing white doves out of my hands. I will also be sitting or standing on pink clouds while i do this. A picture of the world will be below me and the doves will be flying towards it. Somewhere there will be a peace sign represent eaither in a cloud or somewhere else in the photogrpah. The colors will be vibrant but yet peaceful and smooth. There will aslo be text of a quote or a poem that has to do with the world peace subject somewhere in my picture.

Then and Now :)

surreal arstist insperations

Rene Magritte was born November 21, 1898 – 15 August 1967. Rene was a Belgian surrealist artist and was know specifically for his thought provoking paintings.  Magritte was born in Lessines in the province of Hainaut. He began lessons in drawing in 1910. Magritte’s passion for art came to him at a very young age, he began with drawing and then moved on to different types of painting styles until he found that the style of surrealism suited his artistic abilities the best.  Rene is now a historic surrealist artist and is many other artists’ inspiration. As an artist myself I find that Rene’s work is very inspiring and his creativity jumps of the canvas with every painting that he creates.
Artist’s work:  Rene’s work is very creative and thought provoking when you are viewing. Each work of his varies in difference and represents a different subject matter each time. In this particular painting his color choice is exceptional. The use of bright varieties of color gives the painting depth and catches the eye.  The subject matter that he represents gives the peace and abstract yet dream like feel to it which can really ponder your thinking when viewing it. I really love this piece because of its originality and total bizarreness. This is an amazing piece of artwork and really requires thinking outside of the box.

ARTIST NAME: Rene Magritte
TITLE OF ARTWORK: Magic
DESCRIPTION: In this piece of artwork you can see that it has two human forms. You can also see that it is taking place in three different areas, you can see the tile floor, an almost dessert background and a bright blue sky with white clouds. You can also see random objects that the artist chooses to represent. You can see the pieces of wood floating in the sky along with a floating box, a bleeding clock, white broken Manichean legs as well as shoes that represent feet.  There are also 3 black birds flying in the background and the man that is close up and represented has an apple covering his face.
INTERPRETATION:  I feel that all the random things that this artist is representing are symbolic. I think that the apple covering the man’s face is representing an emotion that the artist feels most of his life since the apple over a man’s face is used a multiple number of times in Rene’s other paintings.  I also think that it has something to do with death. It leads me to think this because the bleeding clock could mean that he is running out of time and the black birds are usually symbolic for a death. The background also leads me to this conclusion because it almost looks like the dessert was his last destination before he heads into the bright clouds that await him.
JUDGEMENT: This piece of artwork is extremely successful in my opinion. I fell that this artist is very to his work and has the ability to be creative and think outside of the normal. I enjoyed interpreting this piece because it was something that you had to think about before you got any answers on what you think it might mean.

Maurice Tabard was a dominant figure in avant-garde and modernist photography. His photo-montages, double exposures and solarized prints from the late 1920s and 1930s established him as a visionary artist. He was born in Born Lyon< France and had started his photography interest and career there. Throughout the years of his life his career of photography took him many different destinations which helped him create even better, more interesting works of photography.  Maurice is considered a very skilled photographer each of his pieces require thinking and massive creativity.

ARTIST NAME: Maurice Tabard
TITLE: Untitled.
DESCRIPTION:  In this photograph you can see human’s legs that transforms into a dead tree.  You can also see a faint tower in the background being hidden by the cloudy gray sky. You can also see a brick wall and a totally different path way that the legs are walking on. This photograph is in different variations of grays and black which works well with the rest of the piece.
INTERPITATION:  I feel this piece is eerie looking because of the color scheme and the objects that are represented.  I cannot completely determine the overall meaning of this piece but I can conclude that it means something with moving forward because of the moving legs walking ahead. It is clear that the photographer wants your mind to wonder and come up with as many different and creative meanings as you can conclude.
JUDGEMENT: I feel that this piece is very successful. Overall the color scheme works well with the subject matter and ties together the different emotions you feel when viewing it.  The subject matter and transformations in the piece add to its originality and its sophistication. I really enjoy looking at this piece because it lets the mind wonder and feel certain emotions.

I chose to take photogrpahs of my Grandpa for this piece. I thought that he would be an intreasting subject to represent in my work. My Grandfather(poppop) is one of my favorite people, he is a very silly person and I took all of his expressions and placed them together to represent who he is as a person and to show my love for him. I am very happy with this piece and think it is sucessful.
